| About Animation
An animation like a cartoon is a series of individual pictures displayed one after
the other very quickly. There is a simple animation you can make, called a flick
book.
How To Make A Flick Book
You will need:
- your parents permission
- a printer for your computer (or you can draw pictures of your own)
- blunt scicsors
- a paper clip
Step 1 - Print this page. Then cut out the flip book pictures.
Step 2 - Now stack up the pictures starting with the picture number 10 face up
at the bottom of the pile with the numbers on your left.
Step 3 - Use the paper clip to hold the pictures together. Attach it on
the same side as the numbers.
Step 4 - Now pick up your flip book holding it on the numberd end. Use
your other hand to flick through the pages. See how the pictures seem to move. That
is how a cartoon works.
You can make more flip books by drawing your own pictures.
