Berries you can work
magic with...berries to stun fish with…berries that are supremely
edible…others that can be used to make candy, raisins, soft drinks,
lemonades, coffee, health teas, laxatives, dyes, heart medicines, or even
soap, candles, cosmetics, and bathtub gin…All of the following are
uncommon berries that cab be grown in the home garden. Although several
require special conditions, most gardeners will be able to find the right
place or at lease a few of these little known fruits. Some sources are
indicated, others may be located in references like the Plant Buyer’s
guide published by the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, and still
others of these plants will only be found in the wild.
