Try my creamy baked macaroni and cheese. I make it a
little different because I use not only melted cheese, but I add a basic
cream sauce to it. It's rich and very satisfying.
Creamy Baked Macaroni and Cheese
1 box elbow macaroni
20 ounces of Velveeta cheese
1 cup basic white cream sauce (melt 2 tbls. butter, add 2 tbls. flour;
add1 cup milk; stir constantly until thick)
plain bread crumbs
1/8 lb. butter
Cook elbows in boiling
salted water
until tender. Drain, add melted Velveeta cheese that you have mixed
with cream sauce. Save a little of the sauce that you can sprinkle
on the top. Butter a casserole dish and
pour
in the macaroni and cheese. Spread the saved cheese sauce on top of
it.
Sprinkle evenly with breadcrumbs and dot with butter. Bake in a 400
degree oven until brown and bubbly; about 40 minutes.
